I’ve had this book in my kindle what feels like forever but just never read it. Now as I sit here writing my review I am glad it was a pick for my book club because I had truly been missing out on a gem!I struggled with the book in the beginning because there are a lot of moving parts, and a lot of characters which is not my cup of tea normally. But being that it’s a discussion read I pushed through and I’m glad I did.
I stayed on the edge of my seat with every twist and turn thinking I knew what was happening next only to get completely blindsided by the author’s pen. This is definitely a rumble I couldn’t look away from and now I’m looking forward to jumping right into the rest of the series.

A Rumble In VA by Rayven Skyy was a good book. It's filled with plenty of drama and it will keep you guessing what's going to happen next. This book held my attention from beginning to the end. The one thing I will say is this book needs some editing. Some parts seem to run together with no separation between parts. I was reading it on my kindle. I'm not sure if it's just the ebook or not. Also, at times I didn't know who was speaking. I had to re-read some parts to try to figure it out. This is the only thing that I didn't like about it. The plot was good. The cliff-hanger is even better. Now I need to know what's going to happen next. I just hope in the next book its clear who is speaking and the sections are separated better.
This hood novel had it all!!! Love, betrayal, hustlin', babies born out of deceit, infidelity,....you just name it! Milk & Sabrina was living the life that hustlin' with get you, but when Milk's secrets come out, the relationship is doomed. Sabrina finds out that Milk has been doing more than sleeping around, especially when cousin Asia is in the mix. Add a dude that Sabrina is falling for and Milk's jealousy, and it's a volitile combination. With even more, there's a mole in Milk's organization and Sabrina's side dude is more than just a side dude, you have a ride that's non-stop, and I loved every twist and turn given!
This book was so good I have to make this short so I can get to book 2. There is so much drama and there is no loyalty among blood or relationships in this book. I wanted so many times to jump in this book and whoop Asia ass and smack Sabrina for being so stupid. The men in this book leaves you not trusting none of them...smh. That all I can say if your looking for a good read then this is your book..Oh yeah, and the drama is off the chart. Great job Rayven Skyy the characters were created with so much passion that can be seen in each person. There were grammatical errors, but wasn't that bad to where it would effect the rating it really wasn't that many. I would recommend this book as very good read know on to the next one...lol
Ok, ok I know when I write my reviews I always give a hats off to the author of the book but this one Here.com (IN MY TAMAR VOCIE) get a thumbs up, hats off, a curser, a bow and much more THIS BY FAR IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE READ THIS YEAR it's only August and there some more "supposed" to be bangers coming out this year so I'm going to say so far this is the book of the year to little old me (LOL). First let me say what I loved about the book, it was CERFIDED PAGE TUNER every new chapter was a SHOCKING EVENT that you don't even see coming I feel I'm good at predicting what's going to happen but some of this stuff had me with my mouth wide open like WTF, NO SHE DIDNT, OMG, SHE KNEW HIM, HE KNEW HER ECT....I gave the book 5 stars cause it gives a since of the streets, how people you can trust with everything can back stab you and not think twice about what they have done! The suspense and mystery keeps you until the very end the book are must read!!!!!!!!!!!!
I admit that I skipped over this book several times because I'd assumed that the book was about something else, but when I discovered the book was 'free' for a day, I decided to go ahead and download. Boy.... If I had known what I was missing I would have BEEN PURCHASED!!!! This book was chock full of action, drama, and suspense!!! I love hood love novels and this was exactly that!!! Without hesitation I paid for part 2. Now part 3 has been released and my one-click finger was ready!!! If you like love triangles, shiesty friends, hood love, and ulterior motives, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!! Try a sample and I'm sure you'll be hooked. One thing I will say that I didn't like was that the author didn't label chapter by narrator. I was lost whenever I would start a new chapter until the name was finally mentioned or context clues were given. At first I found it annoying but after a while I was able to pinpoint who was talking within the first sentence. Hopefully that will be changed in part 3. Either way, kudos to Miss Rayven Skyy! You've got a fan in me, girl!!!
I love it when I stumble upon a good book by accident and even better when the book is free!! Lol.. But seriously this was a really decent read. Not excellent, but good nonetheless. From the title I thought it was going to be more of a street book but to me it really wasn't. Yes milk and Rico were hustlers but that is barely spoken about in the book. It doesn't go into depth about their street activity at all. The focus was more on the relationship drama surrounding milk and sabrina and boy was it a lot of drama..!! Even though it is a fast paced book that keeps your interest I will have to agree with previous posters on the confusion of who is speaking at the beginning of the chapters but after I got to know the characters I could tell by situations who was speaking. Another true observation is there are characters that seem to be irrelevant like Nicole and Yvette who was releveant in the beginning and then just dropped off. Hopefully there will be some clarity on these characters in part 2. Other than that, I am thoroughly invested in what happens to milk and sabrina and rico(Byrd) and sabrina and even angelas crazy behind!! I'm so looking forward to reading part 2 but just wanted to advise you to go ahead and read this book, you definately wont be disappointed and hopefully you can catch it like I did while its free!! Lol
